Month 1: Build a Strong Base

1. Understand the Syllabus and Exam Pattern

SSC GD Exam Pattern

1. The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) is conducted online and consists of 80 questions worth a total of 160 marks. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

2. The exam is divided into four sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi. Each section has 20 questions carrying 40 marks.

3. For every correct answer, candidates are awarded 2 marks, while 0.50 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer due to negative marking.

4. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) requires male candidates to complete a 5-km race within 24 minutes and female candidates to complete a 1.6-km race within 8.5 minutes.

5. The Physical Standard Test (PST) measures height, chest (for males), and weight based on the prescribed standards.

6. Candidates must undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME) that includes an eyesight test and general health check-ups.

7. The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the Computer-Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test, and Physical Standard Test.
